I'm sure everyone has noticed that the Aussie dollar has been going down for the last 2 months.

It has dropped 19 cents in 2 months, which is a massive drop, especially considering that nearly everything we import is from the US.

We have tried really hard to keep the prices where they were, but with a drop of 19 cents, it's really starting to hurt too much on the profit levels as you can imagine.

So as of tonight we have increased our prices. They are now.

Originals $100.95
Stu's $101.95
Sensation + case $104.95
Cases $34.95
Inserts $83.95

We hope everyone can understand the reasons.

the increases seem pretty reasonable to me considering the upward pressures on overheads

yeh, i knew some people would wish they'd placed their orders sooner rather than later. Especially those that have asked for refunds lately and planning on ordering later.

It's annoying that it had to be done, but everytime we order a shipment in, we see the new cost and freak. It's been hard to watch it the last 2 months eat into the costs.

Im pretty sure we are still on par with the US site, when we checked the rates last time, it was on $0.83aud and we were way cheaper. Obviously we cant beat them when they do their sales, but we dont have the luxury of being the manufacturer

The price rises must happen for the company to stay viable.

Gentlemen, it's good to see the reasonable attitude. Indeed commerce must be a "win-win" transaction to be successful. You NEED them to stay in business, don't you?

Prices here in the UK are rising rapidly, too. You guys in OZ are getting better prices from Faz, Pash and Spool than I can get here; also, we can't buy anything like the full range Fleshlight Australia keeps in stock.

I totally understand. It wasn't that many years ago that we were only about .50c US.
Oh well, it nice while it lasted. Having a strong $ certainly made shopping on eBay from America quite cheap.

lol yeh. It was 2002 Lordoth. At the end of 2003, I was cashing my US cheques and getting nearly double, it was around 57cents then.

Just curious what were the original prices? I was going to order from the US site until they tried to charge me US$64 (AU$80) shipping fee and it worked out cheaper *not by much* to buy it locally

It did seem much more expensive when I looked at this site, blinked a couple of times and said "Really?"

we were at $94.95 for originals, $95.95 for stus and $98.95 for sensations.

If this dam dollar doesnt start settling down we may have it happen again. It hit a record low of $AUD 0.709. Even when we first started this 3 years ago, the dollar wasn't that low. We will be keeping an eye on it very closely

Right now it costs $125aud to get an original fleshlight shipped to Aus from the .com site without taking into consideration the 2% fee that visa charges for buying from over seas.

We will probably have to move again on our own prices as its currently $13 cheaper to buy an original from us shipped. And we're buying stock in at this lower rate which is costing us more to buy

Ok, so we all know the price of the AUD$ has dropped dramatically again. This has been a huge kick in the pants for everyone.

We have just gone thru the last few days working out figures and stuff and changed the prices on the cart to reflect this.

Below is what it will cost to have an item shipped from the US converted to AUD$ including there shipping costs, but not taking into consideration the 2% fee that visa charges when making an international purchase. I have also shown what we are charging so you can see that everything is up front.

Obviously there may be some sort of fluctuation as the dollar moves around, and we are hoping the dollar will get back to around 75c sooner rather than later, as it all hurts everyone

What we have done is worked on us still making the same $profit as we always have, but adding the change of the AUD$, so its not been a str8 % increase.

Here we go.

T buy an stu or an original from the US costs $132.74aud to land, we sell for $110.90aud plus shipping of $11.90
To buy a fleshlight girl from the US costs $169.90aud to land, we sell for $145.90aud plus shipping of $11.90
To buy a Sensation inc case from the US costs $132.74aud to land, we sell for $120.90 plus shipping of $11.90
To buy an insert only from the US costs $101.59aud to land, we sell for $105.90aud plus shipping of $11.90
To buy a case only from the US costs $71.10aud to land, we sell for $49.90aud plus shipping of $9.00

Im sure some of you are wondering why the difference on the sensations and insert only. When we buy them wholesale they are sold as seperate items, no case included. ILF don't charge the same to buy the two components as it costs to buy the prepackaged items like originals and stu's, hence the price difference.

The shipping costs are based on customers choosing express post and either direct deposit or cheque money order and not aus air express.

So I hope all this makes sense to everyone, it's a shame it had to happen, but whilst the dollar is hurting everyone, we have at least tried to keep everything still cheaper to buy from us then the US

We can all thank the Democrat Controlled Congress for this mess we are in. Thanks to their NO vote 3 years ago to bills proposed by certain republicans to put tighter controls on the lending practices of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Those regulations where never passed and today we lie in what possibility could be the worst economic melt down since 1929.

And the real scary part is yet to come. The media in the US is about to elect a Liberal Democrat (how also blocked the bill 3 years ago) who also has advisors on HIS staff that used to head up and control Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and when in the White House are tipped to take up leading roles in his economic advisory board.

So glad I got my order in before the 2nd price increase I read on the american forum that if you get it shipped to your PO Box it'll be sent via UPS so it'll be cheaper to send than Fedex

im pretty sure that fl.com doesnt allow po box for international orders. Only for their domestic shipments.

Ok thought id check just in case that was possible with po boxes, ur correct it is. But it's actually more expensive on the shipping. USPS $36.03USD FEDEX $26.82USD

So either way we're still better off
