Full Version: listerine cleaning?
i read somewher that u can use listerine or mouth wash to sanitize the inserts. Thoughts?
I wouldn't advise it.
Mouthwashes usually contain acids of various descriptions that could potentially be damaging to your FleshLight.
Fleshlights shouldn't need more than a good flush with water. Preferably with warm/hot water. That will not only help clean it better, but will also assist with drying. Allow it to dry completely before storage and you should be right.

Yeah, I've gotta echo Shotty here; listerine contains alcohols, a few complex acids and handful of other chemicals that may potentially have a detrimental effect on the insert. Whilst it would undoubtedly sanitise it (and leave it minty fresh, too!), there's a gould chance that listerine may attack the material.

I dont think you could have received my payment yet. just did it 2day thru net banking.
Ok, I am seeing some deposits for today, wont know who they are from till the morning. If you did it online or over the teller they usually go thru same day for anz, so hopefully you will get a email tomorrow morning with a tracking id# and if your in the metro areas friday you will be flighting to high pleasures

Minty fresh, yeah. Also, knowing what listerine does to the inside of you mouth, I wouldn't want the same burning sensation on the end of my dick!

That would be very, very bad. At the very least, it would leave the paramedics scratching their heads, going "Oh boy, how the hell are we going to fix this up?"
On a more practical note, I'd worry about residues that may result in a burning sensation. You sure as hell don't want that down there!
Im not a big fan of listerine being used for anything other than the mouth which is what is was designed for.
I have known for years that many body piercers recommend listerine for navel piercings (because it has an antiseptic quality about it) and I guess since they do so many tongue piercings these days they figured it is a cure all. So many girls with painful navel piercings that eventually are taken out .. and I blame listerine.
As has been said .. Hot water.. if it is boilingwater, it will kill most germs (thats why they recommend we boil baby's bottles and teets etc) I boil the kettle to heat up one or two inserts at a time, and this works a treat, and in no way damages the insert. No reason why I can't boil the kettle to drop the insert back in to a fresh pot of water for proper cleaning.
speaking of which.. time to go give my 'girls' a bath.. since mine do not get used that frequently.. I give them a bath once every so often just to refresh and repowder them (those that require it). Looks pretty funny seeing a multicoloured array of fleshies in the tub.. *winks* If anyone drops over now they are in for a treat! LOL

I know what you mean... when warming it up, the insert did essentially that. Once you're snagged, she ain't letting go!
Of course, this is not always a bad thing...
