wat u need my name for?
Anyone use eBay before? I would love to hear about your experience!

I personally used it a far bit for selling and buying but now i loathe it (is "loathe spelt correct?) huh.gif

Compared to Fleshlights customer service and speedy delivery eBay is in the stone ages! tongue.gif

ive played around on it, but never seem to win the bids anyways

more than likely, uve been dealing with some bad sellers if the service there isnt up to scratch. But thanx for letting us know about our levels of customer service

I haven't had problems with it. I generally use paypal now as it's probably not good handing your bank details to other strangers and I don't get all these silly accounts popping up in my netbank account, nor can you mistype their account # etc.

I probably mostly go for items with a buyout, and if I'm saving anything on a retail purchase then that's great. I probably especially use ebay for games and movies. Probably games are more useful as they are more expensive so a better chance of a price difference.

One great example was a Playstation 3 game a bought from a store in Hong Kong (no, not a pirate copy, just the exchange rate is good) and I saved about $30.

I don't generally like bidding with other people as I tend to pay more than I'd want to just because I want to win the item because it's like a competition.

Yeah buying is great (if the seller is reliable) but selling on eBay was a nightmare for me. it was fine for a few months, then someone didn't receive there package becuase it got lost in the mail. so pay pal took the money from my account and issued him a refund becuase i couldn't find the receipt since i moved houses and my new house was still full of unopened and non labeled boxes.
+ their listing fees are way too high, then on top of that you have pay pal fees.

at the moment im thinking of starting up my own website, but that would need alot of time and effort to get it running as smooth as fleshlight.au

any sellers out there? please comment!

I'm an eBay seller and have never really had any problems - although I've always used registered post to send my items off.
I think everyone gets a lemon every now and again, but your problems can be minimised with a little common sense - an item not arriving to a customer would still be as much of an issue whether through your own retail website or not.

At the end of the day, eBay provides volumes of traffic unequalled by any other site, and if you stick to their guidelines you shouldn't get into too much trouble. If your items are valuable, register and insure them when posting. The fees are a little tough, but you'd probably end up paying more for promotion if you were running your own website.

Hey Fazman,
I am pretty good with ebays rules and i think you can do one thing that can promote your item.
you can sell information for lets say 99cents that will lead people to this site. becuase ebay has nothing against inormation your listing will not be removed. however you need to clearly state that this is information in the listing.

not sure if that was explanned at best. huh.gif

thats an interesting thought. Could I do it as a pay $5 for the information and get a voucher to be redeemed on the site?

yeah, the 99cents was just an example.
