Thought Id share another job that I finished just before Xmas

http://cutlist.biz/new/2010/01/2pac-kitche...ridgeman-downs/
jonnyW
Another perfectly conceived, designed and executed job. Nothing else to be said...

Two questions, Faz:
- are the cupboard doors fitted with what we call "touch latches" i.e. push a fraction towards closed to open, push them again to latch shut?
- are those tops actually stone/
fazman
yes all the doors are using blum tipon, which is a touch release mechanism.

The tops are quantum quartz pearly shores a man made reconstituted stone. It is probably the most expensive one available. The stone alone on that kitchen was just on $9000, whole kitchen cost $31k
jonnyW
Thanks for that.
The stone is most impressive, but at a pretty high cost.
I bet the (affluent) client is well pleased, though - and his wife, no doubt.
She should be MOST grateful!
fazman
yep they both love it, I have also done their laundry and bathroom as well since, and they are now needing me to do an entertainment unit for their media room.
countrydude
that looks pretty awesome faz.
the pride in your work really does shine through
fazman
thanx cd

Been a while since I posted something about the kitchens.

I put together a montage video of some of the work Ive done for the upcoming homeshow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9ptRenA2pc

2nd time Ive used iMovie, think it turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself smile.gif
jonnyW
Faz, what can one possibly say?

- Firstly: the elegant and clean designs. Almost minimalist, but so fit for their purpose, and so pleasing to the eye

- Secondly: the perfect execution and detailing, showing the skill and pride in your workmanship.
A master craftsman you certainly are.

The video, too, shows how anything you set your mind and hands to must be done to the utmost limits.
It was a pleasure and privilege to watch. Thank you. smile.gif
fazman
Thanks for the props jonny smile.gif always appreciated
fazman
I know some of you appreciate seeing the cabinetry photos of work Ive completed, so here is a few from a recent job.

And then these two shots I found out were shown in the Autumn edition of Queensland Homes magazine which just came out. My client told me about it, so I spoke with the photographer about getting them. So here they are too smile.gif

Faz, it seems both these are up to your usual perfectionist standard. I hope you get some extra business from the mag. publicity - if you NEED more orders at the moment; maybe you're all booked up for a while yet.

Anyway, congratulations on the work, and getting some (I assume free) publicity for Cutlist. smile.gif
fazman
thanks Jonny, yeh it was free publicity. Thats the best type when you dont pay to have them put in a magazine smile.gif

As to work, im snowed under now, and looks like I will be for a few more months at least with what I have on
jonnyW
Too right, advertising in up-market magazines is bxxxxy expensive. What you got there is almost as good as word-of-mouth, too.

Glad to hear there's plenty of work to get on with, but remember the work/life balance, and spare time to relax with Fazchick and the kids!

fazman
lol i never forget that. after this weekend, we have the following two weekends away camping at the beach, where we spend the whole time boogie boarding and surfing smile.gif
jonnyW
Where's the beach? Then I can do a "Google Earth" and get a better picture of where you are.

I guess coming on towards autumn, and cooling down a bit in the evenings now?
fazman
hastings point nsw next weekend, and ballina headlands nsw the following one.

Yeh its starting to cool off a little, nothing I cant handle though tongue.gif
lordoth
5°C here yesterday morning when I got up for work (in Melbourne). Although that was a bit cold for an Autumn morning, that's more Winter morning temperature.

I live near the beach so its quite nice in summer but everyone parks in my street because of the beach and pub around the corner, so annoying! Here's a satellite of my neighbourhood, hehe smile.gif My street is the one with a red line through it

fazman
Dam Lordoth, you're real close to the beach smile.gif
jonnyW
Lordoth, that's a nice location to live. I do see why the flooding could happen, though.

Regards, have a nice weekend
