Woohoo, the new shopping cart should be here mid this week. We are aiming to have it all live before sydneys sexpo.

This has been months in the working, and in the last few weeks our programmer and I have been hard at it trying to get it all tweaked just right.

You will be able to place credit card orders online (securely)

Pages are incredibly faster to load and the interface is alot simpler

A wishlist has been added

Currently everyone that places an order will have to register an account, but the script authors are soon releasing an option for that to be disabled. I personally think its a fantastic Idea to register accounts, it means you can come back, login and complete orders, setup your wish list, track orders and loads more.

Credit card fees are now added into the invoice upon ordering, so everything is clearer for you.

Oh and for you webstore owners, the wholesale admin has been built into this one

we have decided to post pone the launch of the new cart until next tuesday. This is in case anyone has problems with it whilst we are in sydney doing the sexpo.

Once we are back we will launch it and will be available to answer support emails alot faster if anyone has problems with the new system.

This all sounds great, I hope it works out fine. I was wondering, will this new system allow us to keep a record of previous purchases? That'd be neat.

The new system will do that yes. The current system actually does it now as well, but you have to have created an account for it to remember them

The current system does that? I had no idea. I thought that once the item had been delivered (and/or it was on that status for long enough), it was just cleared from the system. Either way, cool... That's primarily what I like in an accounts system like this, history.

yep, but only if u register an account so it can allocate orders to you. I think I have it set to remember for 12 months. The new system does it for wish lists as well

Faz, you now have a "clever" system, which appears to be better than any of the re-sellers in the UK! Why does thay not surprise me?

On the upside. The new cart is completely XHTML compliant. So what does this mean to all of you?

Its awesome, I did it myself tonite, was just like being on the store normally. So in a few days you can order your fleshlight from anywhere in the world if your anywhere in the world . You just need a mobile phone that has internet access

We are still not quite ready to go live with it. Spool and Pashy will be spending some time on the weekend going over every nook and cranny to make sure everything is just right. So with some luck, by Sunday nite I can turn this baby on for ya'll.

ok guys give that a try. I didnt realise there was a option for downloading from certain forums. I only had admin allowed to do it. So now everyone can download in this one

Not bad Faz, looks pretty clean-cut.

No speed problem - I was using my laptop which was a "doing something else" i.e. an avg scan, and I didn't realise. The attachment comes up fine now, too. So, to me it all seems to work as you want it to.

Spool and Pashy are doing tests on the new cart today for me, to see if they can find any problems. If all goes well I'll be switching it over to the new version at midnite tonite

ok we're live. Just changed the htaccess to point to the new store. Everything looks good.
