Well on saturday nite around 7.30 pm some jerk decided he would hack the forum. Basically he fucked up the config file that tells the forum how to manage the database.

So to fix it I had to do a full database backup and the reinstall the forum. So far It's taken me 6 hours to load the database back in. Some things are in fine some not as you can imagine.

So if something is missing that you really wanted, Im sorry, I cant get it back into the database now. Hopefully all the posts are back in as they seemed to run thru without any errors. But for some reason our member count has dropped incredibly. So if your login doesnt work anymore, it might be best to rejoin using the same username so that the posts match to yourself.

Give me a few more hours and it should be as back to normal as its gonna get.

The forum is actually very critical to business. We have so many customers order cause theyve spent time reading thru the forums. Without it we would lose quite alot of sales. Plus its a great resource for customers to ask questions if we rnt on live support.

Also thanx for the spam notification. I banned their ass and deleted it. Thats the second one for today.

Yehhhh I got the post counts back. Or at least to the point where they match all active posts in the db.

Also the member count and the total posts made are back to normal. So now its just finishing popping back in the archived db's and getting the top of the forum looking the way it used to

Well everything seems to be back to normal. You may even notice that it looks real new. That's cause I upgraded the forum to the latest version.

There is a couple of things you may want to do. Like resort out your avatars, as these dont seem to have been recouped.

I have to redo the titles now as Ive just noticed they are the defaults.

Lets hope this doesnt happen again

I just noticed I've lost about 10 posts on my count. I'm guessing that was cuz of that big hiccup. I dont really mind. Just a clarification.

Half of them were probably just cc's id copied to them when I reply to members pms that they also need to know about or act upon for me.

Great have lost over 100 posts LOL
