(mocha lady)So i run my insert with water then leave it to dry for a few hours then put it in the case and put on the caps.
Next day i open it and the lips are like stuck onto each other and the outside. Each time i fix this up it leaves marks.

Help please?

Hmm I have the STU which is basically a mocha lady. I have noticed the lips stick togther a little but never had it leave marks.

Have you tried the corn starch in the oven bag trick like Pash suggests?

Also head on over to our section on cleaning your fleshlight as we cover how to look after them

same here,

mocha lady, lips do stick together and like to stay stuck.

i don't really try to fix it up (i'm pretty sure when i go to use it and run some water through it and lube it up it goes back to normal)

it might leave marks if you're scratching it with your finger nails to seperate the stuck parts?

yeah, the corn starch will make it feel nice (just like it was out of the box), even though i'm yet to try powdering it.

i saw a little squirty bottle (maybe 150ml) of 100% isopropyl alcohol at the hardware store (in the turps and cleaning section) for about AU$10... would this be alright to use for cleaning? 100%!?!? wink.gif

Well, the isopropyl used for medical purposes is generally diluted to about 60-70% with water, and than that is definitely enough to sterilise an area of skin. However, I'm unsure as to how it would react with the fleshie, given that I have no idea what it's actually made of. I'd try a drop or two of isopropyl alcohol in an inconspicuous place on the insert before dousing it in it. At any rate, you probably wouldn't want to use pure isopropyl alcohol anyway in case it has a drying effect on the insert. Given that we are told that soap has a detrimental effect on the insert (and soap is, from a materials perspective, not overly reactive or corrosive), I would exercise a degree of caution in using anything other than hot water for cleaning.

according to wikipedia its

The material is an elastomeric gel being formed from a mixture of 90-94% by weight of plasticizing oil and of 5-9% by weight of a block copolymer comprising an admixture of a styrene ethylene butylene styrene block copolymer and a styrene ethylene propylene styrene block copolymer combined in a ratio of 1:5 to 5:1.

if that makes any sense to you

Isopropyl alcohol is fine. I wrote about it a while back here.
